Refugees transferred to the USA from Australian-run detention facilities in Nauru and PNG have lost years of their lives to the Australian government’s asylum seeker policies – we want to help them make up for lost time.
The Ads-Up Refugee Network is raising funds for our 2021 Education Fund, to be disbursed for educational and vocational education costs for Manus and Nauru refugees resettled in the United States.
In previous years, we’ve helped pay for high-school textbooks, community college courses, computer engineering programs, commercial driver’s licenses and vocational training programs.
For refugees who arrived with barely more than the clothes on their backs, it’s a ticket our of the minimum-wage job cycle and toward a fulfilling future for them and their families.
